I Got Fat (My Simple Slimming Secret)
Recently I have gained a little extra weight. It was the most body fat I have had in maybe a decade or more.
A lot of that was because I was eating loads of avocados daily. It was about 1 to 2 avocados per day. Sometimes these avocados were quite HUGE too.
I found a brand new source of avocados from California. And this guy had several varieties that I never tried before but was looking forward to trying… like the Fuerte, Ettinger and Zutano varieties. I also really liked the later season Bacon avocados he had. They were savory and sweet at the same time. A nice change of pace over the Hass avocado.
I ended up buying a whole bunch because they were fairly inexpensive. And I also gave a bunch of these away to the homeless and I gave some to my friends who work at my local health food store.
Well I ended up increasing my fat intake from about 9% of average to around 20% of my daily calories coming from fat. (I know this because I enter my foods into Cronometer daily.) And as a result I was definitely starting to get an ugly protruding belly.
Funny thing is 99.9% of the people around me would have laughed when I said I was starting to get a belly. But this is coming from people who look more like Jabba the Hutt than healthy humans.
Anyways...
For the past couple of weeks or so I made a major change in my diet. I stopped eating all overtly fatty foods (like avocados) except for consuming one Brazil nut per day to help me meet my selenium needs for the day.
And the most fat I ever had during this time was 7% of calories coming from fat. It can often be 6%. By the way, most of that fat comes from green leafy vegetables. I didn't eat any nuts, seeds, avocados or oil. (I never eat oils by the way and recommend you don't either.)
And what do you know?
My mini belly protrusion is mostly gone. I weighed myself yesterday afternoon and I was only 154.2 pounds at 6 feet 3 inches tall. I'm not a body builder by any means but I have more than average muscle mass due to my body weight and other workouts as my long time subscribers and customers will know about.
There are other reasons why I am so light for my height like water weight and something else which I will get to in a future post.
So the super simple way to slim down is to completely remove the overtly fatty foods from your diet.
Now I'll teach you exactly why it works so well.
* The Reasons:
There is a saying "The fat you eat is the fat you wear."
You can eat more calories than you need from carbohydrates and stay thin. But it's not likely to happen if you do so with fat.
Let me splain how this works.
If you eat an excess of carbohydrates your body usually just prefers to burn the extra calories off rather than going through the process of lipogenesis or fat creation. Because it takes a lot of extra energy to convert carbohydrates into body fat. It's much easier for your body to just burn the excess calories.
Hence the initial excess calories from carbohydrates will never end up being converted to fat. You'll just burn it off.
* Here's How It Works From a Caloric Perspective:
For every 100 carbohydrate calories you consume over what your body needs, your body will burn about 23 of those calories in the attempt to convert it to fat. So only 77 calories out of 100 get converted to fat.
But remember, initially your body won't even go through this process. It just prefers to quickly burn off the excess calories.
Yet when you eat fat it takes hardly any energy at all to convert it into body fat. For every 100 calories you consume 97 of them will be stored as body fat.
And there is no conversion of the fat when it is stored on your hips, belly or anywhere else in the body. When you measure this fat with an electron microscope from samples taken from you, the doctor or researcher will be able to tell exactly what kinds of fats you have been eating. If it has been a lot of olive oil from your salad dressings it will be detectable as olive oil. If it's from avocados then it will be stored as avocado fat right on your belly.
Plus we really don't need much fat at all as a percentage of our total calories. Hence it is WAY easier to overeat fat calories and have that turn into fat on your body. Especially if you are using oils which are 100% fat.
So if you want a super simple way to lean down then stop eating any fatty foods. This of course includes meat and dairy as they are high in fat. And even if you get the low fat versions of those don’t think you can trick your body, they are also very damaging to your health.
In short, it should not only be low fat but also whole foods and plant based. Preferably raw foods for the ultimate in healing and happiness vibrations.

P.S. I have not missed eating those delicious avocados at all and that is because right at the exact time when I stopped using any overtly fatty foods I (out of the blue) got ideas to come up with some hearty fat addiction busting new recipes.
They are Gumbo style recipes made with raw okra, tomatoes, onions etc. I just love them because they taste great and are very satisfying. It feels like you're eating something decadent but it's super low in fat and calories overall. Just a perfect low fat, delicious, nutrient dense and filling evening meal.
I don't know if you know this so here is another cool tip... OKRA is also a potent appetite suppressor. It just makes you feel full. And it's only 4.9% of calories from fat and 100 grams worth of okra is only 33 calories.
